This policy explains how [Company legal name] W.L.L. collects, uses and protects your personal data on the GetWudd apps and website, in line with Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016).

1. Data we collect

  • Account: your name, mobile number and, if you choose to give it, your email.
  • Verification: one-time codes sent to your mobile number.
  • Gifts: what you bought, from which partner, the price, the delivery date and your message.
  • Recipients: the mobile number and name you enter for the person receiving your gift.
  • Payments: handled by our payment provider. We keep the transaction reference, never your full card number.
  • Redemptions: the date, time and partner where a gift was used.
  • Device: your app language, the token used to send you notifications, device type, app version and technical logs.

2. How we use your data

To run your account, process payments, deliver gifts and notifications, let partners redeem gifts, provide support, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements. We send marketing only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.

3. How we share your data

  • Recipients: we share the gift's details and its redemption code with the recipient. Your name is shared only if you add it to the gift. We never share your payment details.
  • Partners: the partner that provides a gift sees what it needs to redeem that gift.
  • Payment provider: to process payments.
  • Service providers: WhatsApp, SMS, notification and cloud hosting providers, bound by contract.
  • Authorities: only when required by law.

We never sell your data. Senders can see when a gift they sent is delivered, opened, used or expired.

4. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account exists, and transaction records for as long as Qatari law requires.

5. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Email [privacy email] and we will reply within 30 days.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app under Settings › Delete account, or through our Account Deletion page. Your account is deleted 30 days after you ask; until then you can still change your mind. When it is deleted:

  • Your account is closed and your personal data is removed.
  • Gifts you received but have not used are forfeited.
  • Gifts you sent to others stay valid for them.
  • Some records, such as transactions, are kept as required by Qatari law.

7. Children

GetWudd is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside Qatar, including in [hosting location], with the safeguards required by Qatari law.

9. Security

We protect your data with encryption and restricted access. If you think your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us right away.
